Shadow Duel

Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026

1. Who we are

Hexavo publishes the Shadow Duel game (“the game”) and is responsible for this policy. You can contact us about privacy at infotech@hexavo.co.uk.

2. Information we do not collect

Shadow Duel doesn't collect any personal information. There are no accounts or sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and the game doesn't connect to our servers or anyone else's. Nothing you do in the game is sent to us.

3. Information stored on your device

Your progress (scores, streaks and which creatures you've found) and your settings (sound, music, vibration, reminders) are saved on your device only. We never receive them.

4. Camera

The game uses the front camera only while a round is running, to find the shape of your hands and draw it as a shadow on the wall. The video is processed on your device, frame by frame, and is never saved, recorded or sent anywhere. The game never shows or stores the camera picture.

Camera access is your choice. You can allow or remove it at any time in your device's Settings; the rest of the game keeps working.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game schedules a daily reminder on your device when the day's shadow is waiting. No server is involved. You can turn reminders off in the game (Me) or in your device's Settings.

6. Clips you share

When you tap Share after a round, the game makes a short clip of your creature (no camera image) and hands it to your device's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send it. If you choose to save it to Photos, your device asks for your permission first.

7. Third parties

Hand tracking uses Google MediaPipe, which runs entirely on your device and receives no information. The game contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software. We don't sell, rent or share information with anyone, because we don't collect any.

The Credits page links to the websites of the artists whose models and sounds the game uses. Those sites have their own privacy policies; opening them is your choice.

8. Children

The game is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and has no chat, accounts or advertising.

9. Security

Because your information never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security, such as its passcode and encryption.

10. Keeping and deleting your information

Your progress and settings stay on your device until you delete the game, which removes them completely. We hold nothing about you, so there is nothing to delete on our side.

11. Your rights

Data protection laws, such as the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, give you rights over personal information held about you, including access and deletion. As we hold no personal information about you, these requests have nothing to act on, but you are welcome to contact us with any question. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

12. International transfers

The game doesn't transfer any information to other countries, because it doesn't send information anywhere.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date above. Significant changes will also be shown in the game.
