Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026

Mehndi Craft is published by Hexavo ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Mehndi Craft app handles information on iOS, iPadOS and Android.

In short: Mehndi Craft does not collect, sell or share your personal data. We run no servers for the app, there are no accounts, and everything you create stays on your device.

1. Who we are

Hexavo is responsible for the Mehndi Craft app. You can contact us about privacy at infotech@hexavo.co.uk.

2. Information we do not collect

Mehndi Craft does not send any information about you or your device to us or to anyone else. In particular, the app has:

3. Information stored on your device

To work, the app saves the following in its private storage on your device. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to share or back it up, and we cannot see it:

4. Camera and photos

The camera and photo library are used only when you choose "Try on" to preview a design on a photo of your hand. You can take a new photo or pick one; when you pick a photo, the app receives only the photo you select.

Photos are processed entirely on your device. We never upload or keep your photos. If you share a try-on picture, it is created temporarily for the share sheet and you choose where it goes.

Camera access is optional. You can refuse or withdraw it at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

If you choose "Save to Photos", the app asks for permission to add pictures to your photo library (add-only access on iOS; storage access on Android 12 and older, while newer Android versions need no permission). It saves only the picture you asked for and does not read your photo library.

5. Notifications

If you start the aftercare timer and allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device (for example, when to remove the paste). These are local notifications: no push service, notification token or message content is sent anywhere. Notifications are optional and can be turned off in your device settings.

6. Files you export or share

Stencil PDFs, images, cutting files (SVG), look-books, practice sheets and backups are created only when you ask for them, and are handed to your device's share or print sheet. Where they go is your choice. Once shared, the privacy policy of the receiving app or service applies.

Look-books include the artist details you entered. Backups contain your designs, progress, favourites and artist details, and stay under your control.

7. Third parties

Mehndi Craft does not include third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software. It is built with open-source components (such as React Native and Expo) that run on your device and do not send us data.

The App Store and Google Play may collect information when you download or update apps, under their own privacy policies.

Ratings and reviews: the app asks now and then whether you would like to rate it. On Android, choosing Rate opens the app's Google Play page; on iOS, the app shows Apple's own rating dialog. Any rating or review you leave is handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and the app does not tell us who left it.

8. Children

Mehndi Craft is suitable for a general audience. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children.

9. Security

Your information stays inside the app's private storage, which your device's operating system protects from other apps. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode or biometrics.

10. Keeping and deleting your information

Your information stays on your device until you delete it. You can:

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or US state privacy laws), you have rights to access, correct, delete or move your personal information and to object to its use. Because we do not collect or hold your personal information, all of it is already in your hands on your device, where you can view, change or delete it at any time.

If you have questions or concerns, contact us at infotech@hexavo.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (https://ico.org.uk).

12. International transfers

We do not transfer your personal information anywhere, because we do not receive it.

13. Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy, change the effective date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
